Guest Expert Teleseminar Series

Background Info

I want to sincerely thank you for your interest in speaking to our group. As I'm sure you've seen happen in many industries, a lot of the "blind-leading-the-blind" tends to occur and the Virtual Assistant industry is no exception. One of the main reasons we began our teleseminar series was to help Virtual Assistants break out of their own cloistered circles and connect them with real business experts who can truly help them in their businesses. As our teleseminars continued, we discovered there was huge interest and began attracting an audience of business owners from all walks of industry besides Virtual Assistance.

Our teleseminars are well-attended and open to all small business owners and entrepreneurs. It's great information for Virtual Assistants, it's been a wonderful way for us to bridge the Virtual Assistance profession with its marketplace, and it's wonderful exposure for our guest speakers in showcasing their expertise, reaching new markets and attracting new subscribers and customers.

Topics We're Interested In

The main focus of our teleseminars is business concepts and professional development. For example, some of the topics we've had speakers talk about include:

  • target marketing
  • referral marketing
  • communicating confidence
  • avoiding employee mindset
  • branding
  • trading value for dollars instead of time (value pricing)
  • understanding value and charging your worth
  • protecting intellectual capital
  • the power of branding and image
  • fearless marketing
  • media promotion
  • laws of attraction

We are open to any kind of topic that in some way helps business owners gain a better understanding of specific business concepts, helps improve their business thinking and strategizing or raises their consciousness in certain areas of business and personal growth in order to succeed professionally. Some of our current interests include:

  • Assertiveness; how to say "no" to things that aren't right for you
  • Negotiation; learning how to navigate consultations toward ideal outcomes
  • Making friends, overcoming shyness; half the battle in business is getting in the game and simply making human connections
  • Asking for what you want (women have a harder time than men asking for the business)
  • Building and projecting confidence
  • Understanding what the market perceives as credibility, trustworthiness and confidence
  • tapping into creativity to find your unique voice and overcome blocks
  • learning how to exercise your creativity and curiosity

Please do contact us if you would like to speak on any of these topics or have a topic suggestion you think fits with our intention.

Format/Teleseminar Outline

Our teleseminars are one hour long and held the third Thursday of each month at 5p PST / 8p EST. The teleseminars are conducted via the VACOC bridgelines and registration page. We ask that our guest speakers have at least 30 to 45 minutes of presentation material, which leaves room for introductions, Q&A and a quick call-to-action dialogue (to give our guest speaker an opportunity to promote their service or product) at the end of the call.

Here's a visual outline of the general order of our presentations:

  • Welcoming Attendees
  • Introductions
  • Presentation
  • Q & A
  • Speaker's Call to Action
  • Closing

Demographics

Our teleseminars are open to any and all business owners who register. We currently attract 150 to 250+ registrations per event. That number grows every month. Our attendees include coaches, business and marketing consultants, public relations professionals, attorneys, accountants and other financial professionals, real estate agents... the list goes on (we track industries through our registration page). We have an established reputation for hosting high-caliber experts so you will be in excellent company.

What We Give Back

While our teleseminars are free, we very much appreciate our guest speakers for sharing their expertise and an hour of their time. And since we're all in business, we do understand that there obviously has to be something in it for you. Below is what we give back to our guest experts:

  • Copy of the recorded teleseminar to do with as you wish.
  • Registration list with name, email address and profession/industry.
  • Permanent page on our highly ranked website with backlinks to yours.
  • Promotion of the event including press release submissions and online calendar posting (although we also encourage you to notify your lists as well)
  • Promotion to our mailing list.
  • Free publicity and promotion of the event in the Gritty Business Buzz (the VACOC's newsletter) each week which has a subscriber base of 3000+.
  • After-teleseminar thank-you message sent to registration list with your customized call-to-action.
  • MP3s of any raves recorded on our message lines after the teleseminar.

We'd Love to Hear From You

If this all sounds like a mutually beneficial proposition and you have a topic you think would fit in with our agenda, we'd love to hear from you! Just shoot me an email at teleseminar at virtualassistantnetworking.com.

To your success!
